3 drug peddlers arrested with narcotics

JAMMU, Sept 26: Police arrested three drug peddlers along with narcotics.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Narwal Police Post led by SI Vikas Jasrotia under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AQ-3029.
During checking, police team recovered 100 grams cannabis and arrested one person.
The arrested person has been identified as Aijaz Ahmed Khan, son of Mohammed Muzaffar Khan of Boniyar, District Baramulla.
Meanwhile, a team from Batote Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK02AB-3560.
During checking, police team recovered 500 grams cannabis from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested driver has been identified as Suraj Kumar (24), son of Om Raj of Darron Gharani, Bhella Tehsil, District Doda.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Ranjit Singh Rao made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Rajinder Singh Chib, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur-Rehman.
In another incident, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Tata Mobile.
During checking, police team recovered 30 grams cannabis from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Sahil Sharma, son of Sham Lal Sharma, a resident of Sudhmahadev, tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Bahu Fort, Batote and Nagrota Police Stations and investigation started.
