3 drug peddlers arrested with heroin, poppy straw

JAMMU, Mar 16: Miran Sahib and Chatta Police apprehended three drug peddlers and recovered heroin and poppy straw from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station led by SHO SI Gurpal Singh laid a naka at Balol and intercepted two pedestrians.
During checking, police recovered 2 grams heroin from their possession and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jagmeet Singh, son of Surjeet Singh of Simbal Morh and Princepal Singh, son of Basant Singh of Simbal Morh Tehsil RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 29/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Chatta Police Post apprehended a drug peddler along with 11 kilograms of poppy straw.
The accused has been identified as Jagjeet Singh, son of Balwant Singh, a resident of Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 31/19 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Channi Himmat Police Station and investigation started.
