3 drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, May 9: Gujjar Nagar and Peer Mitha police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 10 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, during routine checking, a team from Gujjar Nagar Police Post intercepted a car.
During checking, police recovered 8 grams heroin and 4 syringes from the possession of the driver and his associate and arrested both of them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Babar Choudhary, son of Syed Mohammad of Chak Mohammad Yar, Tehsil RS Pura and Mohammad Amin, son of Imtiaz Ahmed of Darsopur, Tehsil RS Pura.
Both the accused are notorious drug peddlers and are involved in heinous criminal cases registered with different police stations.
Meanwhile, a team from Peer Mitha Police Station arrested a drug peddler and recovered 2 grams heroin from his possession.
The accused has been identified Basit Khan, son of Mohammad Salim Khan, a resident of District Rajouri.
Cases under FIR Number 29/18 and 30/18 have been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
Police teams led by SHO Peer Mitha Sheema Nabi (Prob), Incharge Gujjar Nagar Police Post SI Tariq Ahmed and SI Parvaiz Khanday made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Dr Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
