Ganga kick starts road work, distributes LPG connections

SAMBA, May 9: Member Legislative Assembly and former Minister Chander Parkash Ganga today kick started blacktopping work on a link road to Chack Chataka, Ramgarh under BADP to be executed with an estimated cost of Rs. 20 lakh.
The MLA, while speaking on the occasion, said that it is a matter of great satisfaction and pride that almost all the roads in the Vijaypur Constituency have been constructed, renovated and blacktopped besides several newly sanctioned roads are at different stages of implementation. He extended complete credit to the locals for their cooperation and appreciation towards effective implementation of Government schemes.
Ganga expressed the hope that the public will continue their support with the same spirit and zeal to realize the objective of launching of numerous Government schemes meant for socio-economic empowerment of under privileged segments of the society.
Highlighting the Government’s achievements, the MLA said that Modi Government is endeavoring hard to promote the interests of poor and needy people of the nation irrespective of any religious or political consideration. “Prime Minister takes personal interest in every initiative being taken up for welfare and development of poor people to ensure that the benefit could reach to every part”, he maintained.
Elaborating on the status of road network in Vijaypur, the MLA said that an ambitious project worth Rs. 18 crore is in the tendering process which will further add to the road connectivity in the area. Besides, Rs, 8 crore road project for Swankha to Chamlyal and several road projects worth Rs 26 crore are also at different stages of implementation in the constituency.
Later, the MLA distributed LPG connections among 28 beneficiaries at Rajinder Singh Pura village under Ujjwala Yojna.
