Srinagar, Apr 5: Three persons have died and two others were injured in different road accidents across Kashmir division.
A police spokesman said a 6-year-old boy, Ajmat Farooq Najar, 6, son of Farooq Ahmad of Thajiwara, was hit and injured by a Tipper, JK03D/3064, at Thajiwara in Anantnag.
The injured boy was shifted to Bone and Joints hospital Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.
A 60-year-old pedestrian was hit by a Tavera vehicle, JK01R/8976, at NHW Mirgund in district Baramulla. The injured man was shifted to JVC Hospital Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.
A Sumo, JK02W/1695, hit and injured Mohammad Shafi Lone son of Abdul Gani Lone of Paraypora at Madmadav Kalarooch in district Kupwara, adding he has been shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
In another accident, a motorcyclist, Stanzin Outsal son of Chantand Tendup of Chanday, Leh skidded off the road at village Shay in Leh district. He died on the spot, while his pillion was injured.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
