3 dead, 4 hurt in mishap

SRINAGAR, May 28: Three persons died while four others were critically injured after a load carrier plying from Chowkibal to Kralpora turned turtle and fell into deep gorge at Manzpathar Chowkibal in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district today.
One person died on the spot while the injured persons were treated at district hospital Kupwara and the other two injured persons succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
The doctors said that the four injured persons are critical and have been shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.  They were travelling towards Bahak in Bangus Valley.
A police official said that a case in this regard has been registered and they are ascertaining the facts.
Police identified the deceased persons as Rayees Ahmed Sheikh son of Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh of Dardpora, Pervaiz Ahmed Khoja son of Mohammad Yusuf Khoja and Ishfaq Khatana son of Abdul Rashid Khatana of Satboyen Dardpora. The injured have been identified as Altaf Ahmed Khoja, Shabir Ahmed Khoja and Javaid Ahmed Khoja. Fourth injured is yet to be identified.
