RAJOURI, May 10: In the tragic turn of events, the Rajouri district witnessed three alleged suicide cases today, sending shockwaves through the community.
The deceased have been identified as Vipan Singh (30), son of Raghubir Singh, resident of Kalakote; Ashok Kumar (65), son of Raj Kumar, resident of Dharyale and Sourav Choudhary (22), son of Subash Chander, resident of Bhawani.
Vipan and Ashok were found hanging from trees, while Sourav reportedly consumed some poisonous substance.
The Police team led by SHO Nowshera, Sumit Magotra, swiftly responded to the incidents. The bodies were shifted, to hospital and after completing necessary legal formalities, they were handed over to the respective families. Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO Nowshera, said that postmortem examination was conducted for the two in SDH Nowshera and the bodies were subsequently released to the families for last rites.Whereas the postmortem for Sourav Choudhary was conducted in GMC Rajouri. The police have initiated investigations into these unfortunate incidents to ascertain the circumstances leading to the alleged suicides.
