UDHAMPUR, May 27: In separate incidents, a youth ended his life by hanging himself from a tree near his house at village Launchi in Udhampur while two others committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at village Panj Grai Ramnagar and Jaganoo Morh Udhampur.
According to the reports, Ayub Khan (25), son of Naik Mohammad of village Launchi Udhampur, was found hanging from a tree near his house under mysterious circumstances. Family members saw him hanging and immediately called the Police. Udhampur Police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem. Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, one Moti Ram, son of Gungru Ram of village Panj Grai, Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence late last night. Family members shifted him to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu. Despite efforts by the doctors, he did not respond to the treatment and died this morning.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Ramnagar Police has registered the case in this connection.
In a similar incident of suicide, Abhiram (46), son of Thakur Dass of Jaganoo Morh Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence late last night. Even as family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur, doctors declared him as brought dead.
