JAMMU, Aug 27: Bakshi Nagar Police arrested three chain snatchers and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh from their possession.
As per police sources, a team from Bakshi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Manjeet Singh apprehended three chain snatchers.
The arrested persons were identified as Pranav Sharma, son of Raman Sharma of Jullaka Mohalla, District Jammu, Ripu Dhawan Singh, son of Subdeep Singh of Panjtirthi, District Jammu and Ajay Partap Singh Jamwal alias Abbu, son of Manmohan Singh of Narayana, Kachi Chawni, District Jammu.
With their arrest, police solved three cases registered under FIR Numbers 112/2020, 123/2020 and 125/2020.
On their disclosure, gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lacs were recovered. The vehicles used for chain snatching has also been seized.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain their involvement in any other case.
