3 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

SAMBA, Apr 23: Mansar police rescued three bovine animals and arrested two bovine smugglers including the driver of the vehicle during a naka checking in the area today.
As per reports a team of Police Post Mansar headed by SI. Rajveer Singh, I/C of the Police Post under the supervision of Inspector, Shiv Dev Singh, SHO Samba & Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Headquarters Samba during vehicle checking Naka at Mansar, intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing Registration Number JK14C-5153 which was on its way to Srinagar. During checking of the vehicle it was found that three bovines were tied with ropes in a very cruel manner inside the vehicle which was being transported illegally without any permission.
The accused driver identified as Bittu Ram, S/o Chuni Lal, R/o Kishanpur, Dansal, Udhampur and his associate Vaid Parkash, S/o Ludri Ram R/o Serbala Ramnagar, Udhampur were arrested and vehicle used was also seized. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 89/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Samba and investigation started.
