SRINAGAR, July 16: Police arrested three bootleggers and recovered illicit liquor from their possession here today.
A Police spokesman said that a police party of Police Station Maisuma, intercepted an Auto bearing registration number JK01K-0368 during a naka checking at Budshah Bridge.
He said during checking the auto, 16 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of one Waseem Raja Khanday (auto driver), a resident of Qamarwari, Mahinder Mukhiya and Rajash Kumar, both resident of Bihar.
“A case FIR number 20 /2018 under section 48 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Maisuma and investigation has been taken up,” he said.
