JAMMU, Dec 8: Residency Road police arrested three gamblers along with Rs 20,000 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Residency Road Police Post conducted raid on the roof top of a hotel and apprehended three gamblers along with Rs 20,000 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shoket Ahmad Ganai, son of Juma Ganai, Bashir Ahmad, son of Aahad Ganai and Irshad Ahmad, son of Talib Rehman, all resident of village Garkote District Uri.
All the three gamblers were booked under section 13 Gambling Act.
Police team led by Incharge Residency Road Police Post SI Ashwani Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO City Inspector Vishal Sharma, SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Amritpal Singh and DIG JHS Range/SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
