SAMBA, Aug 11: Police arrested three persons along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Samba Police Station intercepted a person near main bazaar here.
During checking, police team recovered 52 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Salakhan Singh, son of Bachiter Singh of Rara, Ramgarh.
A case under FIR Number 214/2020 under section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Samba Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at KC Morh and intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 100 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Himat Ram, son of Kala Ram of Village Kothey Chorli Tehsil Bishnah and Lady Kumar, son of Mohinder Pal of Gurdaspur, Punjab, at present Kothey Chorli Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 133/2020 under section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Tahir Yousaf Khan made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan, SP Headquarters Jammu Raja Adil Hamid and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
