Srinagar, May 31: Police today arrested three persons allegedly involved in threatening posters in Khrew area of Pulwama in South Kashmir.
Police said that the arrested persons have militant links and they pasted threatening posters of Lashkar-e-Islam at Khrew few days back.
The arrested persons have been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Mohammed Sheikh, Mudasir Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Samad Lone and Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammed Bhat.
A case (under FIR no. 76/2015 under Section 13 Unlawful Activities Act) has been registered against them. The trio had downloaded the poster from facebook and printed them at a local computer outlet and pasted in the area.
In the meantime, police detained 5 persons in North Kashmir in telecom attacks and investigations are going on.
Police said that they have got vital leads and the attacks would be cracked soon.
Police and Army have also intensified the patrolling in the sensitive areas of North Kashmir to prevent telecom attacks. Police conducted surprise checks at Baramulla, Handwara and Sopore to prevent any attacks on telecommunications.
