3 Army jawans injured in north Kashmir grenade attack

SRINAGAR : Three soldiers were injured when militants hurled a grenade on an Army camp in the frontier district of Kupwara this afternoon.

Official sources here said militants hurled a grenade at a camp, which houses the office of the Army Town Commander, in Hihama in north Kashmir district of Kupwara at 1410 hrs.

They said the grenade exploded near a bunker, resulting in injuries to three Army soldiers of 41 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and damages to several vehicles.

The injured were immediately taken to a hospital, they said, adding a search operation has been launched to nab the militants involved in the grenade attack. (UNI)
