KATHUA, May 24: Nagri Police arrested one absconder after a gap of five years who was evading arrest since 2008.
According to police spokesman a police party of Nagri Police Post during a routine Naka at Nagri today arrested Surmu Din, son of Ajooba of Goond, tehsil and district Kathua.
He was booked by police under section 188 RPC at Police Station Kathua under FIR No 115/2008. A warrant against him was issued by JMIC Kathua on November 6 last year under Section 512 CrPC.
The Kathua Police also arrested two absconders namely Mohan Lal, son of Maggar Ram and Mohinder Paul, son of Ram Chand both residents of Semwan, tehsil Kathua after a gap of 25 years. The duo was evading arrest since 1988 in case of theft registered in 1988 at P/S Kathua.
