29 solar lights distributed

Srinagar, Mar 14: Under remote village electrification scheme, Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JKEDA) today distributed 29 solar lights among residents of Sedow village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The solar lights were distributed during a function at District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Shopian and Deputy Commissioner Shopian GM Dar was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner stated that list of all those habitations which were not covered under RGGV scheme and are located at far off places have been proposed to be benefited by the solar lights. “At the inaugural functions 29 beneficiaries were provided solar lights,” he said.
Chief Planning Officer, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Principal DIET, District officer JKEDA, Block Development Officer Keller, Member Gujjar and Bakerwal Board Choudhry Nazir Ahmad and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
