JAMMU, Mar 9: Nagrota and Satwari police rescued 28 bovine animals and arrested seven persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota police station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK18-9047.
During checking, police rescued, 14 bovine animals and arrested three persons, who have been identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Abdullah Rather of Dulligam Banihal, at present Nai Basti Khanpur, Mohammad Khan, son of Qazi of Panchari Udhampur, at present Jhari and Zakir Hussain, son of Gul Mohammad of Kharpora Anantnag.
A case under FIR Number 62/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA act has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Manjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta.
Meanwhile, a team from Satwari police station laid a naka at Jeevan Nagar and stopped a truck bearing registration number JK03C-9127 for checking. Fourteen bovine animals were rescued from the truck and four persons were arrested, who have been identified as Feroz Ahmed, son of Abdul Ahad of Awantipura, Mohammad Latief, son of Haji Babu of Miran Sahib, Kesar Ahmed, son of Farooq Ahmed of Budgam and Sharif, son of Wali Mohammad of Gidargaliyan.
A case under FIR Number 47/16 has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Satwari Manjeet Singh and SDPO South Sachin Gupta made the arrest under the supervision of SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta.
