JAMMU, May 31: Nagrota police rescued 28 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania laid a naka and intercepted two trucks.
During checking, police team rescued 28 bovine animals and arrested three persons, who have been identified as Farooq Ahmed, son of Din Mohammad of Lower Munda Qazigund, Shabir Ahmed, son of Mia Khan of District Anantnag and Mohammad Ismail of District Ramban.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
