SAMBA, Dec 6: Rakh Amb Talli and Ghagwal Police rescued 26 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police spokesman, a team from Police Post Rakh Amb Talli while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area noticed some persons near Village Chak Dyala, Pangdour moving with herd of cattle under suspicious conditions.
On seeing the police party, the suspected persons tried to fled away from the spot but the police team after successful chase manage to arrest two bovine smugglers namely Din Mohd alias Dinu, son of Nawab Din of Chack Dayala and Teg Ali, son of Hashim Ali of Chack Dayala, Samba and rescued 16 cattle which were being smuggled towards Valley by foot.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Ghagwal intercepted two vehicles during checking at Tapyal.
During checking, police team rescued 10 bovine animals from the vehicles, while the accused smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Samba and Ghagwal and investigation started.
