JAMMU, Apr 30: Police today seized 252 kilograms of poppy straw concealed in 16 bags lying on Chhan Rorian road, falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh police station.
A police spokesman said that, police team from police station Rajbagh while patrolling in the area of Chhan Rorian, Kishanpur Kandi seized 252 kilograms of poppy straw concealed in 16 bags.
A case under FIR number 67/14 under Section 8/15/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Rajbagh and manhunt has been launched to trace out the narcotic smugglers.
The poppy straw was seized by police team headed by SHO Kulbir Singh under the supervision of officiating SSP Kathua Yogesh Sharma and SDPO Diwakar Singh.
