RAJOURI, June 16: The police arrested one person from Narian of Rajouri and recovered a consignment of illicit liquor from his possession last evening.
The recovery was made by team of police along with Central Reserve Police Force during a drive against sale of liquor from some shops along Jammu- Rajouri National Highway. The police team led by SP Headquarters Rajouri Mudassir Hussain alongwith SHO Rajouri Mohd Showket Chowdhary conducted raids at a number of shops between Bathuni and Narian.
During raid a shopkeeper namely Parshotam Lal, son of Jagdish Raj, resident Phali Sialsui was arrested, after a consignment of liquor was seized from his shop at Narain. The recovery include around 25 litres of locally prepared (Desi) liquor and some bottles of smuggled liquor. A case FIR No 281of 2023 was registered in this connection.
