UDHAMPUR, Jan 20: Twenty five passengers were injured when an overloaded minibus turned turtle near Majalta in Udhampur district, here today.
The minibus, bearing registration number JK14C-8119, was on way from Chanunta to Majalta when its driver lost control over the vehicle, which turned turtle on the road near Majalta. Locals and Police, led by SHO Majalta, Surinder Sambyal, rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to PHC Majalta where three of them were referred to District Hospital Udhampur.
Those referred to DH Udhampur, were identified as Neha Bandral (22) daughter of Sagar Singh, Palak Rani (18) daughter of Subash Singh and Sonali Rajput (17) daughter of Subash Singh, all of Katheel.
Other injured persons were identified as Hamni Bandral (17) daughter of Romesh Singh of Katheel, Nisha Verma (30) wife of Karan Kumar of Katheel, Divya Bandral (17) daughter of Jatinder Singh of Katheel, Arun (17) son of Uttam Chand of Jansal, Arun Bharti (17) son of Gardhari Lal of Jansal, Pushpa Devi (58) wife of Dhani Ram of Jansal, Mamta Devi (23) wife of Chaman Lal of Katheel, Veena Devi (17) daughter of Uttam Singh of Katheel, Shamli (19) daughter of Karan Singh of Peoni, Uttam Singh (48) son of Baldeev Singh of Kathil, Rano Devi (13) daughter of Bodh Raj of Latrari, Channu Ram (59) son of Kripu Ram of Katheel, Jagdish Chander (52) son of Paras Ram of Katheel, Dharam Chander (82) son of Bhagat Ram of Jansal, Parshotam Kumar (14) son of Babu Ram of Jansal, Deepak Kumar (16) son of Gardhari Lal of Katheel, Nisha Rani (18) daughter of Pritam Chand of Katheel, Swati Devi (18) daughter of Subash Chander of Katheel, Jyoti Rani (20) daughter of Subash of Katheel, Vipin Kumar (17) son of Bishan Dass of Jagwal, Makhnu Devi (41) wife of Subash Chander of Charorta and Sarolo Ram (22) son of Om Parkash of Katheel.
Meanwhile, Police has registered a case in this connection.
