JAMMU, Aug 13: A total of 244 cases were settled in National Lok Adalats held in different districts.
JAMMU: National Lok Adalat was held in the Bank Court, Jammu with regard to bank cases under the supervision of District and Sessions Judge, Jammu, Sanjay Gupta. The bench constituted for the cases listed in the said Lok Adalat was of Additional District Judge Jammu Ashok Kumar Shavan and Prosecuting officer TADA/POTA Court Jammu, Kishore Kumar. A total of 100 cases were taken up, out of which 81 cases were settled. The total recovery affected was Rs 5,92,18,687.91 from defaulters.
RAJOURI: National Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex here under the chairmanship of Inder Singh, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority. The first bench was headed by Inder Singh, Chairman, DLSA and assisted by Mehmood Choudhary, CJM Rajouri, while the second bench was headed by Rajinder Saproo, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rajouri and assisted by Special Mobile Magistrate Rajouri. 37 cases were settled in the National Lok Adalat.
SAMBA: National Lok Adalat was held here under the chairmanship of ML Manhas, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Samba. A bench was constituted which was headed by ML Manhas, Chairman, DLSA, Samba and assisted by Advocate SK Khanmotra, Advocate Deepak Sharma, Retainer Lawyer. The second bench was headed by Deepak Sethi, Sub Judge and assisted by Advocate Mohinder Singh Charak and Advocate Renu Bala, Retainer Lawyer, A total of 64 cases were settled and outstanding amount of Rs 84,34,610 was settled.
DODA: National Lok Adalat was held here today. A bench was constituted, which was headed by Haq Nawaz Zargar, Additional District and Sessions Judge Doda and assisted by OP Thakur, Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee, CJM Doda and Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Doda Arun Kumar Kotwal, In the said Lok Adalat, a total of 84 cases were taken up and an award of Rs 47,76,686 was passed.
