24 injured as bus rolls down

UDHAMPUR, May 20: Twenty four passengers were injured when a bus rolled down into a deep gorge at Beraltha near Majalta in Udhampur.
The bus bearing registration number JK02W-5231, was on its way from Buttal Morh to Billawar when its driver lost control over the vehicle that rolled down into deep gorge this morning.
Police reached the spot and shifted injured persons to PHC Majalta where doctors referred eight of them GMC Jammu and five others to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Savita Devi (40) wife of Parabhu Dayal of Katra, Chain Singh (38) son of Krishan Singh of Dansal, Garnal Singh (51) son of Kamal Singh of Manwal, Nelam Sharma (38) wife of Romesh Chander of Majalta, Shakil Mohd (7) son of Saif Mohd Malik of Kanyala, Shabiya Begam (19) wife of Gafur Khan of Dansal, Nasiba (16) daughter of Saif Mohd. of Kanyala, Khemraj (38) son of Basudev of Billawar, Anil Kumar (25) son of Ram Chand of Gudh Kalial, Pankaj (20) son of Kalu Ram of Tila, Ashwani Kumar (28) son of Rumal Chand of Billawar, Prabhu Dayal (48) of Katra, Ritika Sharma (18) of Manwal, Shivali Jamwal (18) of Kishan Pur, Brijmohan (59) of Katra, Mamta Sharma (28) of Katra, Mahadav Singh (35) of Panthal, Kuldeep Singh (38) of Sidla, Savitri Devi (40) of Katra, Shakil Mohd.(60) of Jandrah, Farida Begam (40) of Dansal, Yog Raj (35) son of Rattan Lal of Jhajjar Kotli, Nelam (34) of Majalta and Raj Kumar (18) son of Romesh Kumar of Choor Motu.
