23 injured as mini bus turns turtle in Samba

SAMBA, Aug 26:  Around 23 people got injured while eight of them seriously when a mini bus in which  they were traveling turned turtle near Chak Salarian in Ramgarh area this morning.
According to police, a mini bus was on its way from Ramgarh to Vijaypur as it reached near Chak village the driver lost control over the vehicle due to which it turned turtle.
Around 23 passengers sustained injuries, eight of them seriously, police said.
The police immediately rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation with the help of locals. The injured passengers were rushed to Sub Distict Hospital, Ramgarh and Accidental Hospital, Vijaypur, where from eight seriously injured including three students were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, Jammu for advanced treatment, police said.
The seriously injured, who were referred to GMC Jammu, were identified as Shilpa Devi, Ajay Kumar, Neha Devi, Raj Kumar, Sunita Devi, Sardari Lal, Jasbir Kour and Shanti  Devi, all resident of Ramgarh in Vijaypur.
The Sub District Magistrate, Vijaypur, Rajneesh Pargal along with Sub District Police Officer (SDPO), SS Sambyal also visited Accidental Hospital, Vijaypur and enquired about the health of those injured in the accident.
The police has registered case under relevant sections and investigations are on.
