23 bovines rescued, 2 arrested

UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Tikri Police rescued twenty three bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, a team from Police Post Tikri during checking intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration Number JK19-0062.
During checking, police team rescued 13 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Puran Chand, son of Prabhu Dayal of Krimchi Mansar district Udhampur.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Tikri apprehended a man along with 10 bovine animals, which he was smuggling towards Kashmir.
The arrested person was identified as Manzoor Ahmed, son of Mohd Hussain of Kaura Kotli, District Reasi.
Two cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Station Rehambal and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Tikri PSI Abdul Satar foiled the bids under the supervision of SHO Rehambal Inspector Rajesh Sharma and DySP Headquarters Sahil Mahajan.
