22 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, May 4: Police today said twenty-two people were injured in different accidents in Kashmir.
A police official said a Matador bearing registration number JK13-4308 travelling from Tral to Awantipora turned turtle at Sharifabad in Tral area of Pulwama district, resulting in injuries to nineteen persons. “The injured were immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral for treatment and later one of the injured persons was referred to Srinagar hospital in critical condition,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
Meanwhile, a police spokesman said a Maruti Alto K-10 car bearing registration number JK05E-4407 collided with a Santro car bearing registration number JK05C-1244 at Khujabagh in Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to two persons identified as Bashir Ahmad Bhat and Khalida. “Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a scooty bearing temporary registration number KMR-016527 turned turtle at Galandar in Pampore area of Pulwama district, resulting in injury to his pillion identified as Haleema. “The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
