22 injured in valley road mishaps

Srinagar, Sept 1: Police today said 22 persons were injured in different road accidents in the Valley.
A police spokesman said that a Tata 407 vehicle bearing registration number JK03-5667 driven by Manzoor Ahmad Mir turned turtle at National Highway near petrol pump in Nipora in Kulgam district resulting in injuries to 16 passengers. “All the injured persons were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
He said that a passenger bus bearing registration number JK01B-4527 and a load carrier bearing registration number JK16-2211 collided near Asham crossing in Naninara village of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district resulting in injuries to 5 passengers. “All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
The police spokesman said a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01Q-8520 skidded off the road at Sangrama in Sopore of Baramulla district resulting in injuries to motorcyclist namely Jahangir Ahmad Lone. “The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
