JAMMU : A fresh batch of 217 pilgrims today left for the holy Shri Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir and 288 pilgrims left for Shri Buddha Amarnath cave shrine in Poonch district from Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar base camp in this winter capital of the state.
“A batch comprising 135 males, 31 females, a child and 50 sadhus this morning left for the Amarnath cave shrine from here in a convoy of eight vehicles including private and SRTC buses,” official spokesman here said.
Meanwhile, 288 pilgrims left for Shri Buddha Amarnath cave Shrine situated in Poonch district of the state.
201 males, 73 females and children left for the shrine in a convoy of seven vehicles.
