SRINAGAR: The district administration suspended 21 doctors who were found absent from duty in Shopian today, when separatists have called a general strike in the Kashmir valley against the arrest of JNU students and Prof Geelani and harassment of Kashmiri in Delhi.
An official spokesman said here this evening during the surprise inspection of various Health Institutions in District Shopian Deputy Commissioner Shopian placed 21 doctors under suspension for remaining unauthorisedly absent from their duty. (AGENCIES)
