UDHAMPUR, Aug 5: Udhampur Police rescued 21 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers from Roun Domail area, here today.
Based on reliable information, a Police party of PP Roun Domail, under the supervision of SHO Udhampur, Inspr Vijay Choudhary and Dy SP Headquarters, Kulbir Handa, laid naka at Dhar road near CRPF Camp and intercepted one Truck bearing registration number JK02AB 8179.
During checking, 21 bovine animals were found loaded in the truck. Police seized the truck and rescued the animals besides arresting driver as well as his two associates, identified as Nazir Hussain, son of Qadir Hussain of Kheri Bishnah, Kaka, son of Abdul Gani of Bhohri Tallab Tillo and Bikram Singh son of Sadhu Singh of Gadigarh.
In this connection, a case FIR number 397/18 under section 188 RPC 3 PC Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
