20 police personnel promoted

UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: Director Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Dr SD Singh granted in-situ promotion to 20 police personnel of Police Academy Udhampur which included 12 Selection Grade Constables and 8 Followers who have completed more than 9 years service in one rank and also having unblemished service records.
The promotees include SgCt Balwant Singh, SgCt Shamsher Lal, SgCt Danish Kumar, SgCt Surjeet Singh, SgCt Nissar Hussain, SgCt Jugal Kishore, SgCt Rajinder Singh, SgCt Subash Chander, SgCt Ravi Dev Singh, SgCt Kamal Singh, SgCt Rattan Chand, SgCt Madan Singh, Follower Raj Kishore, Follower Romesh Singh, Follower Kamlesh Kumar, Follower Vijay Kumar, Follower Vijay Kumar, Follower Om Parkash, Follower Daryodhan Singh and Follower Vakiloo.
Earlier, Director Police Academy constituted Depart-mental Promotion Committee (DPC) under his chairmanship, which includes Mohan Lal, SSP Assistant Director (Outdoors), Kamal Shama Chief Prosecuting Officer, Ramesh Chander Kataria Administrative Officer and Inspector (Pers) Ashok Kumar as member of the DPC, which assembled in his office chamber and examined the service records of these police officials.
The DPC meeting is held twice a year in the month of July and January in which promotional matters of all the eligible employees are discussed and promotions are granted under rules. Providing timely promotional benefits to the employees proves a motivating factor for the employees.
Dr Singh congratulated all the beneficiaries and advised them to work hard with dedication and devotion to bring laurels to Jammu and Kashmir Police.
