2 women arrested for jawan’s murder

POONCH, Oct 5: Two women have been arrested by police for the alleged murder of an Army jawan in Mankote area of district Poonch.
The accused are identified as, Budra Bi (47), wife of Mohd Mushtaq and Shehnaz Akhtar (28), wife of Mohd Alyas, both residents of Chhajla village in Mankote tehsil of district Poonch. They were nabbed during early morning from a temporary shelter near their village on a specific information by Mendhar police party .
They were wanted by Mendhar police in connection with the murder of Army personal, middle aged Mohd Matloob, son of Mohd Issa, resident of the same village. He had come on leave from his unit. He was allegedly murdered during bloody clash over a land dispute on May 5, 2018. A case FIR No. 66/ 2018 under sections 302/307/147/148/149/ 323/ 324/325 and 427 RPC was pending against them. Total 17 persons had been booked in the case, while these women were evading arrest. They had been declared absconders by a local court. All others are lodged in jail.
