2 TRF hybrid militants held

SRINAGAR, June 9: Two hybrid militants of The Resistance Front (TRF) were arrested from Gurgurseer area of Tarzoo in Sopore today.
A police officer said that on a specific input, joint team of police and security forces apprehended two LeT militants. He said that they were intercepted at Darpora in Delina area. However, they tried to flee from the spot but were chased and apprehended.
They have been identified as Muzamil Rasheed Mir son of Abdul Rashid Mir of Arihal Pulwama and Faizan Ahmad Paul son of Fayaz Ahmad Paul, resident of Pinjoora Shopian.
From their possession, two pistols and five rounds were recovered. Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigation taken up.
Preliminary investigations have revealed the arrested persons as hybrid militants of TRF and were in a constant search of an opportunity to carry out attacks on security forces and civilians including outside labourers.
