JAMMU, Apr 1: Samba Police has foiled bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal by arresting 2 bovine smugglers and rescuing 15 bovines.
Acting on reliable information received at PP Rajpura about smuggling of bovines by foot through Kathua-Samba Border Road, a Police Party of PP Rajpura laid special naka at Lala Chack, Rajpura and arrested 02 bovine smugglers who were trying to smuggle bovines by foot.
The accused persons have been identified as Mohd. Hussain S/o Lal Hussain R/o Manohar Gopala, Samba and Mohd. Iqbal S/o Lal Din R/o Batote A/P Mandyal, Hiranagar. All the 15 bovine were rescued and case FIR No. 32/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA act registered at P/S Ghagwal.
Police has made an appeal to the general public to inform about any evil design of the bovine smugglers in the area and help in its drive against them.
