JAMMU, Feb 24:  Crime Branch Jammu has booked two Revenue officials among four persons for forging the records and changing title of the land by fraudulent means.
A case under Section 420, 467, 471, 120-B RPC, r/w Section 5(2) PC Act Svt 2006 has been registered against Naib Tehsildar A G Malik, Patwari Hans Raj, Jagdev Singh and Kamal Singh of  Kalu Chak.
The accused Jagdev Singh in connivance with Revenue officials had allegedly made a false entry in Khasra Girdwari in respect of land measuring 9 kanal 12 marla under Khasra number 30, situated at Kalu Chak by illegally converting Gair Mumkin Chapri (Pond) in agricultural land and thereafter executing the sale deed on the basis of fictitious fard jamabandi.
On receipt of a complaint in this regard by one Balwan Singh of Kalu Chak, a preliminary verification was initiated and during the course of investigation, it came to fore that in the Revenue record, the land in question was recorded as Gair Mumkin Chapri. However in the year 1992, the nature of land was changed as Gair Mumkin Khad shown in the possession of accused Kamal Singh who thereafter sold it to other accused Jagdev Singh on the basis of said entry and a sale deed was also executed in the court of law.
The verifications established that the then Patwari Halqa Hans Raj prepared and issued an illegal fard intikhab of this land on basis of which mutation  was attested by the then Naib Tehsildar A G Malik.
