RAJOURI, Sept 12: Police nabbed two drug peddlers and recovered 20 kg poppy straw ( Bukki) from their possession in Surankote area today.
Official sources said that Police party led by SHO Surankote, Charanjit Singh during nakka on Mughal Road intercepted two persons moving on foot towards Bafliaz from Kashmir side. They were carrying two bags with them. The police party during checking recovered 10 kg Bukki from each bag.
Those arrested were identified as Waqar Yunis and Samar Din, both residents of Daraj village in Kotranka. They were bringing this consignment from Shopian (Kashmir) and moving on foot to Rajouri to deliver the consignment. The police registered a case and started investigation.
