2 minors among 8 injured in road accidents

Srinagar, May 30: Eight persons including two minors were injured in various road accidents across Kashmir today.
A Police spokesperson said that a Maruti car bearing number JK03B/ 4808 hit and injured Abdul Salam Sheikh son of Ghulam Mohammad of Dialgam at Moominabad, Anantnag. Sheikh was rushed to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case against its driver Suhail Ahmad Haji of Cheeni Chowk, Anantnag.
In another accident, Syed Ghulam Jeelani, 50, son of Syed Wali Mohammad of Cheri Kote, Lolab of district Kupwara was injured when a Tata Sumo JK09/2318 collided with other Tata Sumo JK01K/2313 at Sogam, Kupwara. Jeelani was rushed to hospital. Police spokesperson said a case has been registered.
In a collision between two motorcycles, a motorcyclist, Mohammad Ashraf Rather, 20, son of Abdul Ahad of Bonshora, Hardishora, was injured when another motorcycle JK05C/3586 hit him at Kunzer, Baramulla. Rather was rushed to district hospital where doctors referred him to SKIMS, Srinagar, for treatment.
In Bandipora district, a Tanker driver, Mangta Ram resident of Lambray, Rajouri, was injured when his vehicle JK03/2320 met with an accident in Gurez. Ram was shifted to the local Public Health Centre for treatment.
A Tata Mobile JK01N/8771 skidded off the road near village Thoun, Ganderbal, and fell into the power canal, resulting in injuries to its driver Fayaz Ahmad Bhat resident of Panzin and a six-year-old boy Misbah, son of Bashir Ahmad Khan resident of Thoun, Kangan. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police said a case has been registered in this regard.
In an accident in Ganderbal, a girl, Aymah Jan, 8, daughter of Nazir Ahmad resident of Reshipora, Ganderbal, was hit by an unidentified Tipper. She was referred to SKIMS, Soura, for treatment. Police has registered a case.
