2 militant associates arrested

Srinagar, Mar 25: Security forces today arrested two militant associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in Sumlar area of Bandipora and recovered incriminating materials and two Chinese grenades from their possession.
A police spokesman said that acting on specific information regarding movement of militant associates, police along with 1-RR of Army and CRPF at a checkpoint established at Sumlar near Fisheries Farm Bandipora intercepted two suspected persons identified as Abrar Ahmad Wani alias Abu Qadir and Danish Pervaiz, both residents of Sumlar Bandipora.
“During checking, two Chinese grenades and other incriminating materials have been recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to the Police Station where they remain in custody,” police said.
A case (FIR number 40/2023 under relevant sections of law) has been registered at Police Station Bandipora and further investigation initiated.
