KATHUA, Aug 26: Two persons died in two separate road accidents in Kathua district today. According to police a young man died after the motor bike he was riding was hit by a vehicle bearing number DL 7CG -7360 carrying Vaishno Devi pilgrims from back side at Hiranagar today. He received grievous injuries he was shifted to Hiranagar hospital by police where he succumbed to his injuries.
He has been identified as Raman Kumar S/o Krishan Chand of Hiranagar. Hiranagar Police has registered a case.
On receiving the information, Hiranagar Police shifted the injured person to hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. The police has seized the vehicle.
In another incident, a pillion rider died after she fell down from the motor bike in Nagri area of Kathua district.
She has been identified as Satya Devi (70). She was taken to District Hospital, Kathua, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
