2 killed, 4 injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, Oct 10: Two persons were killed and four others injured in road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said a shopkeeper was killed when an Army recovery vehicle bearing registration 01P013710K rammed into the shop of Ghulam Mohammad Sofi son-in-law of Khazir Mohammad Parry of New Colony Khag near New Colony Khag in district Budgam.
The shopkeeper was critically injured in this incident who later succumbed to his injuries on way to a hospital. Police has registered an FIR number 54/13 under Sections 279,357,427, 304 RPC in this regard, the spokesman said.
The spokesman said a motorcyclist was killed when a Vencher vehicle number JK13B/7046 hit a motorcycle Jk04A/1637 at Malikpora in district Pulwama. The motorcyclist Suhail Ahmad Malik of Malikpora, Pulwama died on the spot.
A pedestrian, Shahid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rashid Dar of Mantipora at Poshkreeri, in district Anantnag, was injured when a Wagon-R JK13C/1232 hit him. He was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
A Load carrier hit and injured a boy, 9, Sameer Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Jamal of Doodkhato in district Budgam. The injured was shifted to SMHS, Srinagar for treatment.
A Tavera JK01M/9305 turned turtle at Kulan in district Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to the driver of the vehicle. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura Srinagar for treatment.
In another accident, a Load carrier JK13/9995 was hit by a tractor at Aramullah, Lassipora in district Pulwama, resulting in injuries to the drive of the load carrier. The injured was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
