RAMBAN, Dec 13: Two persons were killed and four others injured when the Swift car they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Neera area late last night.
The ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Ramban from Tanthi when the driver lost control over it and the car landed into gorge near Neera area, resulting into injuries to six persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital, where doctors declared one of the injured persons as brought dead.
Two grievously injured persons were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, but one of them succumbed to his injuries on the way thereby raising the death toll to two.
The deceased have been identified as Mangal Singh, son of Bhagat Singh of Neera district Ramban and Pawan Singh, son of Ghandharab Singh of district Ramban.
The injured were identified as Arun Jamwal, son of Rajinder Singh of district Ramban, Verinder Singh, son of Pyar Singh of Marog district Ramban, Pyare Devi, wife of Mangal Singh of Neera district Ramban and Ashok Singh, son of Rattan Singh of Mian Seri, district Ramban.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
