JAMMU, Sept 30: Two persons were killed while 15 others were injured, when the mini-bus they were traveling in rolled down in Bari Brahmana area of the city outskirts.
The ill-fated mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AK 1022, on way to Jammu from Patti, Vijaypur, rolled down, after rear tyre of the mini-bus bursted.
The driver of over-speeding mini-bus failed to control the vehicle after tyre burst resulting into accident and causing grievous injuries to all its occupants.
On getting information, a police party from nearby police station, rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured passengers were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced Raj Devi, wife of Krishna of Majalta and Dwarka, son of Mani Ram of Patti, as brought dead.
The injured passengers were identified as Shama, Ramesh, Raj Kumar and Dimple of Parwah, Asha Rani of Majalta, Deepak of Mishriwala, Janak Raj of Khargal, Sukhdev and Govind Ram of Bari Brahmana, Menu Devi and Neelu Devi of Kaluchak and Sant Kumar of Talab Tillo.
