RAJOURI, Sept 18: Two minor brothers were killed while 12 other passengers injured when a mini- bus met with an accident in Kalakote area of district Rajouri today.
Reports reaching here said that mishap took place at around 2 pm when ill-fated mini-bus No. JK-11/3006 was on its way to Mogla-Taryath from Kalakote. When the vehicle reached at Suh Morh near Seyar Chatta village, the driver lost control at a sharp curve and the vehicle was over turned. Two minor boys, both brothers, were killed on the spot while 12 other passengers were injured.
The driver managed to escape from the spot after accident. The deceased were identified as Arjun (7) and Prithi (9), both sons of Rakesh Kumar, resident of Seyar area. The dead bodies were removed to hospital for postmortem by police. The injured were also removed to Kalakote hospital where majority of them were discharged after providing treatment. The police has taken cognizance of the mater.
Meanwhile, Governor N N Vohra has expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives in the mini-bus accident in Kalakote area of district Rajouri today. Vohra has expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
