2 jawans hit by vehicle, serious

MENDHAR, Nov 15: Two jawans of  Territorial Army (TA) were seriously injured when they were hit by an unknown Tata Mobile vehicle near Bhimber Gali on Mendhar road late this evening.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 7 pm when the two TA jawans were on way to Mendhar on a bike bearing registration No. PB-35H/ 9187. About 2 km ahead of BG on Mendhar road, they were hit by an unknown Tata Mobile vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The driver left both the soldiers critically injured on the road and sped away from the spot.
Some people travelling in a car passed that way and noticed two Army jawans lying injured on the road  and their bike thrown away. They informed Army naka at BG and also police post at BG. The army and policemen rushed to the site and they immediately provided them treatment at local Military First-aid Centre  and then rushed them to Military Hospital, Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. Messages were flashed to the police and army nakas in the area to trap the vehicle involved in hit and run case.
While jawan Zafar Ahmed of 156 TA Battalion,  located at Palma near Rajouiri,  was unconscious due to severe head injuries his associate, Abdul Aziz started talking while being shifted to Rajouri. He hails from Mahore area of Reasi.
