UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: Police arrested two inter-district drug peddlers from Jakheni area and recovered 6.48 grams of heroin from their possession.
Police party of Police Station Udhampur while conducting routine checking at Naka Point Jakheni, stopped an Alto car bearing registration number JK09C-8702. During personal search of the two persons travelling in the car, 2.78 grams and 3.70 grams of heroin was recovered from each of them, following which they were taken into custody.
They were identified as Parvez Ahmed Khan (driver) son of Nazir Ahmad Khan, resident of Cheeri Koot, Kupwara and Zubair Ahmed Mir, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir of Sogam, Kupwara.
In this regard, a case FIR number 356/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur. Further investigation into the case is underway.
