RAJOURI, Aug 8: The Forest team from Rajouri accompanied by Forest Protection Force men today dismantled two saw mills operating illegally in Kotranka (Kandi) area.
Official sources said that a joint team, headed by ACF Rajouri Nadeem Iqbal and Masood Ahmed, Assistant Director FPF Gamma Unit J-6, Rajouri, raided two illegal saw mills in Kotranka area of Kandi Range of Rajouri Forest Division.
On a specific information, a Forest team comprising of staff from Rajouri Forest Division and FPF was constituted by the Conservator of Forests West Circle Jammu (Rajouri), B Mohandass. The team raided the saw mills owned by Mohd Aslam, son of Mishri Khan of Kotranka and Tabassum Nazir, wife of Mohd Qadeer, resident of Kandi and dismantled it. The dismantled parts of the machine/ saw mill were also seized by the team. A legal action has been initiated against the operators/ owners.
