JAMMU, Dec 14: Two thatched huts gutted in fire in Batyara area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachak police station.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a thatched hut, which later engulfed the adjoining thatched hut also at Batyana. The thatched huts were of Ghulam Nabi and Mirza.
After getting information, a team from Kanachak police station rushed to the spot and department of fire and emergency services was informed.
A team of fire fighters along with fire tenders rushed to the spot and after hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control.
No injury or casualty has been reported to the human lives, while one animal was charred in the fire.
Kanachak police has taken cognizance in this regard.
