JAMMU, Sept 12: Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered more than one kilograms of charas from their possession.
Police spokesman said that during checking at Balmiki Chowk, Gandhi Nagar Police team headed by SHO Inspector Gurmeet Singh along with PSI Rahul Dogra intercepted a truck bearing registration No. 8968-JK13.
From the truck, police recovered one and half kilograms of charas. The contraband was immediately seized and truck driver namely Ghulam Ahmed, son of Ghulam Nabi of Anantnag and Hilal Ahmed, son of Mohd Ismail of Tral were arrested.
A case under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar in this regard.
